Team Lead Analyst – IFRS17 implementation
Mission:
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the understanding of IFRS standards (17 and 9) and its implications on both the actuarial and accounting aspects, the team lead acts as SME (Finance and Risk department) in its comprehension
- The team lead makes sure the business requirements are well defined and consistent within the frame of the IFRS917 project from the current as-is Operating model towards the Target Operating model (TOM) which is covering the following:
- Business organisation and structure
- Business processes
- Supporting systems
- Data model, content and flows
- As people manager, the team lead is responsible to coordinate work of his team to ensure successful delivery of the target solution in addition to ensure a proper implementation by the vendor
- He/she also responsible for the objective setting, coaching and work planning of his team.
- Review and validate quality deliverables (Risk Manual, accounting and reporting manual, risks policies, etc.)
- With its actuarial team, the team lead is supporting CRO office to define the methodology approach (quantitative and qualitative)
- Work closely with the other stream leads (Data sourcing, solution provider and auditors) to facilitate the implementation of the target solution
Tasks
- He/She will be accountable for the identification and delivery of the reporting methodologies under IFRS 17 regulations. The candidate will be setting the agenda for IFRS 17 and will be working with the systems team to ensure a smooth roll out in the different legal entities.
- The team lead defines / updates / clarifies the IFRS17 requirements from the beginning of the process: reporting data, actuarial calculations, and financial calculations, preparation of accounting postings, harmonization and consolidation of financial data, towards regulatory reporting.
- The candidate will work with the Finance, Risk and IT departments as well as with business experts to define and validate the TOM.
- The candidate will support the Solution provider in the implementation of the target solution with a focus on the change management by conducting workshops with entities’ stakeholders to design and socialise the end-to-end processes.
- The candidate will own the Solution Design Board (SDB) by managing activities, reviews and the validation of the different deliverables during the implementation phase.
- The candidate will be attending to the Project Board, Weekly Project Management meetings.
