Description

D’Ieteren Automotive is the official distributor of the Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Škoda, Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti and Porsche brands, as well as spare parts and accessories. D’Ieteren Automotive has approximately 1.2 million vehicles of the VW Group brands on the road, which represents a market share of almost 24%. D’Ieteren Automotive manages a strong network of independent dealerships throughout the country and directly operates dealerships on the Brussels-Malines-Antwerp axis.

To complete its offer, the company sells used vehicles (My Way and Audi Approved+) and provides maintenance, financing and leasing services through VDFin, a joint subsidiary with Volkswagen Financial Services. The company’s mission is to create seamless and sustainable mobility for all.

 

Context

In order to temporary replace a Training Manager and support the team in different projects, D’Ieteren Academy is looking for a seasoned Automotive Project Manager.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

As en Automotive Projecr Manager, your repsonsibilities will be:

  • Participate in (training) projects within D’Ieteren Academy.
  • To support the current training managers:
    1. Help shape training programs in the context of automotive after-sales processes and systems
    2. Help shape and direct People Skills trainings (soft skills, management, …
    3. Helping to optimize processes within the department
  • Follow-up of projects with various stakeholders

 

Required skills/Abilities

  • You already have experience as Automotive Project Manager
  • You have knowledge of automotive retail (aftersales)
  • You have strong skills in Excel (for reporting and calculation)
  • You are a teamworker (no individual projects, but supporting existing projects)
  • Operational skills (thinking and shaping, but especially operational execution)
  • You speak French natively, you have a decent level of Dutch (to interact with the team) and you have preferably a good level of English

 

Education and experience

  • You have at least 7 years experience in Project Management

 

Location

  • Kortenberg. Homeworking to be discussed internally (for team meetings)

 

Timing

  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: 30/11/2023 (with potential extension)
  • Part-time job (2 or 3 days, available on Wednesday)

Context

With the technological evolution in their brand and with the needs for more trainings for technicians and for students, D’Ieteren Academy needs to reinforce their team of 7 Automotive Technical Trainers.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

As a Technical Trainer, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Facilitate technical training (basic, specific, on new models).
  • Prepare training courses by creating new courses or adapting existing courses.
  • Create exercises and tools used for the courses.
  • Organize and develop online tests.
  • Manage in-store teaching materials (list of cars available to the Training Center, technical parts to be used during training, etc.).
  • Develop your knowledge by regularly attending training courses organized by manufacturers.

 

Required skills/Abilities

As a Technical Trainer, you have:

  • Knowledge of various fields within automotive technology
  • A great interest in the fields of automotive technology.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint…)
  • Very good knowledge of French and Dutch
  • Good oral knowledge of English.

And you are also:

  • A Team Player able to share and transmit his technical knowledge
  • Open to changes and you co-manage the change as well.
  • A very good pedagogue able to explain to others simple and complex subjects
  • A very good communicator both orally and in writing.

 

Education and experience

  • A graduate degree or equivalent by experience.
  • A trainer’s certificate is a strong nice-to-have.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a trainer. Please note that a junior with 2 years of experience is accepted if the consultant can work autonomously.

 

Location

  • Kortenberg. Homeworking can be possible during preparation time. Days to be discussed

 

Timing

  • Start date: 03/07/2023 (can be earlier or a bit later)
  • End date: until end of the year (with potential extension)
