Description
We are looking for an experienced Progress developer.
As a Progress OpenEdge Developer, you will play a key role in maintaining, modernizing and extending our business-critical applications.
You work in a hybrid environment combining classic ABL development with modern API-driven architectures (PASOE).
You will work alongside analysts, project managers and end users in a team with other progress experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications in ABL (Advanced Business Language)
- Design and optimize database access (OpenEdge DB)
- Build and expose APIs via openedge studio
- Analyze and improve performance (queries, locking, transactions)
- Integration with internal and external systems
Profile
Must-have skills
- Strong experience with Progress OpenEdge / ABL
- Solid understanding of:
- Temp-tables, datasets, buffers
- Transactions and locking (NO-LOCK, SHARE-LOCK, EXCLUSIVE-LOCK)
- Experience with OpenEdge database design and performance tuning
- Knowledge of APIs
- Experience with PASOE (Progress Application Server)
Nice-to-have
- Experience with:
- .net
- Modern IDEs (Progress Developer Studio / PDSOE)
- APIDOG
