Mission Context
We are looking for an experienced Senior SAS Developer / Consultant to strengthen our BI/DWH team.
The team is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of a large portfolio of SAS-based applications and data processing solutions supporting multiple public-sector organizations.
We are looking for a hands-on SAS professional who can quickly become productive within an existing application landscape and actively participate to the development, testing, production support, and optimization.
The successful candidate will join an established team and contribute primarily to the maintenance and evolution of existing SAS applications, as well as the delivery of new ad hoc developments requested by customers.
Responsibilities
– Analyze business and functional requirements in collaboration with analysts
– Develop, test, and maintain SAS Base applications and data processing programs.
– Contribute to the development, enhancement, and optimization of ETL processes.
– Perform unit testing and support integration testing activities.
– Ensure corrective and evolutionary maintenance of existing applications.
– Optimize the performance, reliability, and maintainability of SAS programs and batch processes.
– Produce and maintain technical and functional documentation.
– Work closely with analysts, architects, data engineers, and other developers within the team.
Required Profile
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAS development and Data Warehouse (DWH) environments.
Strong expertise in SAS Base, including:
– DATA Step, PROC SQL, SAS Macro Language, Advanced SAS programming techniques
– Experience working with various file formats such as Excel, XML, JSON, and flat files.
– Experience integrating SAS with relational databases, particularly Oracle and PostgreSQL.
– Good understanding of ETL concepts and data integration processes.
– Proven experience in analyzing, maintaining, and optimizing existing SAS applications and programs.
– Ability to understand and implement complex business rules.
