Main mission
Translating the training needs of our dealer network and the expectations of the brands into a training programme that has a visible impact on our dealer network.
Responsibilities
As Training Manager Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, your responsibilities are as follows:
Set up training courses in the context of the launch of new products and services:
- End-to-end responsibility for preparing, implementing and following up on training courses, within the respective brand and cross-brand functions, in collaboration with the event coordinator and the international parties involved.
- Ensuring the training of the trainers involved, adapting the training content and methodology of the factory to local needs and coordinating the various modules. The Training Manager is responsible for the certification of trainers according to brand standards.
- Participating in the Train The Trainer (international) training courses organised by the brands in order to be able to provide the training courses.
- Act as an ambassador for D’Ieteren at national and international events related to product and service launches.
- Responsible for the proper follow-up of the projects assigned to him/her within the framework of the D’Ieteren Academy.
- Drawing up a budget plan/annual budgeting for training courses and proactively monitoring budgets to ensure cost-effective working.
- Evaluating the various training courses and formulating continuous improvement proposals with a view to improving the impact of the training courses, maximising synergies between brands and making the overall functioning of the processes more efficient, all in consultation with the factory.
- Direct contact with the D’Ieteren Network (LMAs) to align their needs with our offering and support them in developing a local learning culture.
Set up mandatory training programmes for the various needs for the brand:
- Implementing, adapting and actively monitoring the training programmes for the various roles in order to meet the requirements of the respective brands.
- Negotiating with the factory’s international partners to ensure maximum learning efficiency within the various learning programmes.
- Continuously monitoring the standards of the respective brands for training and coaching within the respective brand. The Training Manager ensures the standards, reports on the status of the quality indices imposed by the brands and, where necessary, defends the interests of both the importer and the brand.
- Responsible for ensuring sufficient frequency in our range of different training courses within the programme for new employees.
- Monitoring of ISO standards relating to training, assessments and coaching imposed by the brands.
- Organising, managing and monitoring the certifications inherent to the training programmes in accordance with the brand’s standards.
- Keeping the content and data in the LMS system up to date.
- Participating in the annual international training management conference within the brand in order to guarantee the training offer.
- Annual budgeting of the training courses and proactive monitoring of the budgets in order to work cost-effectively.
- Being an ambassador for D’Ieteren within the dealer network and the factory.
As Training Manager VW CV, you have:
- Experience and an interest in the world of light commercial vehicles. Experience within a dealership or having worked closely with the dealer network in this field is an advantage.
- An affinity with continuous development and improvement and you are good at planning, managing and coordinating training programmes.
- Strong teaching skills. You are not afraid to give training courses and you have the ability to quickly build good relationships, be empathetic and inspire and guide people. In addition, you enjoy working on innovative and engaging teaching methods and are able to adapt flexibly to different groups and their needs.
- You are bilingual in Dutch/French and express yourself fluently in English. A knowledge of German is an advantage.
