Description

Who are we?

Fednot is the Federation of Belgian Notaries. Our mission is to support over 1,100 notary offices and approximately 8,000 notary employees with legal expertise, management advice, IT solutions, training, and information for the general public.

As a division of Fednot, the ICT service unit develops innovative solutions that support notaries in their digital transformation journey and improve the overall user experience for notaries and their customers. We develop and deliver software that cover all notary domains (real estate, enterprise, family, etc.) and are based on state-of-the-art technologies.

The job:

As Test Automation Engineer, you are in charge of checking that the developed software operates as expected, on both technical and functional level. You support the other members of the software design and delivery team by bringing your expertise. You are responsible for functional and non-functional testing, end-to-end testing with external partners. You also play a role in the continuous improvement effort of testing processes and the implementation of quality assurance, together with the Program Lead Test Manager.

You will work in close contact with functional analysts, developers and software engineers within our operations department.

As Test Automation Engineer, your main responsibilities will be to :

  • Review acceptance criteria ;
  • Set up of automation tools (Playwright,…) ;
  • Set up test automation scripts ;
  • Execute (automated) test scenario’s by using different tools depending on technologies and needs ; 
  • Follow up on defects and issues and write test reports ;
  • Support the involved teams and to assist your team in the estimation of the test effort and test plan required for projects ;
  • Improve processes and test deliverables ;

Technical skills… You have…

  • A bachelor’s degree or relevant experience ;
  • Minimal 3 years of relevant experience in software testing
  • Experience with UI and API testing (Angular, Java Spring Boot) ;
  • Strong knowledge of testing processes ;
  • Experience in testing Java services, web services, REST API’s, proxy services ;
  • Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Xray and Ready API are a plus ;
  • Experience working in Agile environments ;

Softskills…You are…

  • Fluent in both Dutch/English or French/ English and you at least have a good understanding of the other national language for which you wouldn’t be fluent ;
  • A real teamplayer at ease with sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues, able to create an atmosphere of openness ;
  • Eager to learn, grow and develop your testing expertise ;
  • Attentive to details, have strong analytical and communication skills.

1000 Brussels & Homeworking: 40% in the office (friday is a must) + 60% homeworking
