We are looking for an experienced Interim Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead the implementation of the NIS2 Directive within our organization. This strategic assignment, focuses on designing and implementing a robust cybersecurity program that complies with European NIS2 legislation.
As Interim CISO, you will be responsible for the full implementation lifecycle: from gap analysis and roadmap development to governance setup, technical controls, and knowledge transfer.
Your key responsibilities include conducting a NIS2 gap analysis, establishing the security governance framework, advising executive leadership and the board on cyber risks, and implementing the required technical and organizational measures.
In addition, you will develop security policies, set up incident response processes, implement supply chain security measures, and drive security awareness across the organization.
You will work closely with IT, legal, compliance, and business stakeholders to build and sustain a strong, organization-wide security culture.
We are seeking a candidate with at least 8–10 years of experience in information security management, including 3–5 years at CISO level. You have demonstrated experience with NIS2 or similar compliance frameworks (such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2) and hold at least one relevant certification (CISM, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer).
You combine strategic thinking with a pragmatic, hands-on approach and are strong in stakeholder management at all levels.
