Description

You will work as a senior network architect in the service ‘Design’ in the Department of Networks, Belgian Defence. The services serves to design, implement, troubleshoot and optimize our corporate network architecture. The goal is to enhance, refine and improve based on current and futureproof technologies. LAN, Local Area Networks, will be the main focus on the job. At the moment, our wired infrastructure is built using Cisco Software Defined DNAC (Catalyst Center) and the wireless (and branch) infrastructure is based on HPE networks (Aruba) Aruba based (managed by Aruba Central). Therefore, comprehensive knowledge and in-depth expertise is required for Cisco and Aruba based networks. 

Running projects and future plans:
– High Level Redesign Central Parts of the network
– Redesign Central Branch Infrastructure (Aruba) 
– End-to-end client separation for Cisco (Microsegmentation CTS) and Aruba (Aruba User Role) solutions (SXP)
– Upgrades IOS-XE and DNAC for production environment
– Analysis Cisco ISE capacity and alarms
– Aruba VIA client (pilot project)
– Transition to Aruba Central (from Mobility Conductor) AOS 8.x – AOS 10.x
– Development of a new standard site type
– Transition from SD-Transit to IP-Transit for corporate LAN sites
– Deployment on Multicast on a SDA Network

You should be able to work on a project by yourself or in cooperation with technicians from the service Service Engineering – LAN. We are looking for someone who is proactive, communicative, collaborative and analytical.

You have a valid NATO or BEL or EU security clearence (min SECRET). If you don’t have one, you have an ongoing request for at least 6 month. 

CCIE is a plus – proof of valid (or expired certificate)

ACSX/Aruba Ambassador is a plus – proof valid (or expired certificate)

For each technical knowledge , following questions should be answered.
Which protocol are you familiar with? 
Which solution did you already use – configuration or only operations?
How long are you familiar with it? Did you configure it already or only operate an existing node?

Frequency: 3 days a week

Language: at least one of the two national languages spoken and written knowledge + good knowledge of English
