The job:

As Head of Data & AI, you will lead the Data, AI, and BI teams within the IT service unit. You will be responsible for defining and executing the Data, AI & BI strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business and product goals. Your role will be pivotal in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization and its institutions.

You will manage a team, oversee the department’s budget, and ensure the delivery of high-impact data initiatives. You will also be the key liaison between internal stakeholders (IT Management Team, Domain and Product Managers, EXCO, Board of Directors) and external partners (suppliers, end-users, and market networks).

You want to:

  • Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams in Data, AI, and BI.
  • Shape and implement a long-term vision and roadmap for data-driven innovation. 
  • Promote a data culture across the organization and its stakeholders.
  • Drive strategic initiatives that deliver measurable business value.
  • Influence technological and supplier choices to ensure efficiency and innovation.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure proactive data- transversal alignment and synergy.

You have:

  • Exceptionnal communication skills with internal stakeholders and strong public speaking abilities
  • Proven experience in people management (15+ people)
  • At least 10 years of experience in data governance & quality, AI, BI, or a related domain.
  • Proven experience in agile environments and managing complex projects.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management
  • Fluency in French, Dutch, and English.

Duration: minimum 6 months with potential extension

Location: Hybrid, to be discussed with the managers
