De Nationale Loterij vierde in 2024 haar 90ste verjaardag en is meer dan ooit verbonden met de Belgen!
Met een omzet van 1.533 miljard euro tekent De Nationale Loterij een duurzame en verantwoorde groei op van gemiddeld 2,7% per jaar sinds 2014. Dit groeipercentage bewijst dat de Nationale Loterij kiest voor duurzame groei binnen een kansspelmarkt die nog steeds fors groeit. Ter herinnering: de Nationale Loterij maakt slechts 4% van de totale omzet van de kansspelsector uit.
En toch stond de Nationale Loterij nog nooit zó dicht bij de Belgen. Voor het eerst in de geschiedenis van de Nationale Loterij werden er in 2024 318,9 miljoen spelmomenten geregistreerd. Dat getuigt van het enthousiasme van de Belgen voor “hun” loterij.
Trouw aan haar DNA en haar missie, heeft de Nationale Loterij nooit zoveel goede doelen of initiatieven gesteund als in 2024. Die steun ging naar sociale, culturele en sportieve projecten in heel België. In totaal steunden we 1.884 projecten waarmee we onze essentiële rol in de samenleving bevestigen.
Ook in onze evoluerende digitale samenleving voelen de Belgen zich meer dan ooit verbonden met de Nationale Loterij. De app van de Nationale Loterij werd in totaal meer dan 2,46 miljoen keer gedownload.
De Nationale Loterij zet een verantwoorde en transparante spelomgeving steeds voorop. 99% van onze spelers bereikte het afgelopen jaar geen enkele van de opgelegde limieten (stortingslimiet, verlies, aantal spelen,…).
Dankzij haar spelers heeft de Nationale Loterij in 2024 al 345 miljoen euro naar de Belgische samenleving laten terugvloeien. Zoals elk jaar zal het totale bedrag van de steun die de Nationale Loterij aan goede doelen en andere initiatieven heeft geboden pas later dit jaar bekend zijn.

Role Overview
The Solutions / Enterprise Architect is responsible for aligning business strategy with technology infrastructure, ensuring that IT systems, processes, and data support organizational goals. This role involves designing and maintaining the enterprise architecture framework, guiding digital transformation, and new asset onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise strategy
- Participate in strategic discussions on company level.
- Have a clear overview of business units, their functions and processes.
- Impact estimation of possible strategic decisions on the organisation, processes and technology
Architecture Strategy & Governance
- Define and maintain enterprise architecture principles, standards, and roadmaps.
- Ensure architectural alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Design and maintain the overall application landscape and the mapping of these applications with their business functionalities
- Ensure there is a design of an integration framework through which data flows between these applications
Solution Design & Integration
- Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
- Oversee integration of systems across business units and platforms.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
Enterprise Integration & Interoperability
- Design data integration patterns (ETL/ELT, APIs, Service bus, streaming) for on-premises and cloud environments.
- Enable interoperability between transactional- and operational systems but also analytics systems (data warehouse, data lake,…)
Lifecycle Management
- Manage the lifecycle of applications, platforms, and infrastructure.
- Define modernization and cloud migration strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Translate business needs into architectural requirements and technical solutions.
- Communicate architectural decisions and their impact clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Governance & Compliance
- Identify architectural risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, and industry standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Experience: 10+ years in Enterprise & Solutions architecture roles.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving ability.
- Ability to integrate into an organisation and identify skills and characters in order to outline governance models.
