Meet Frédérique Beumier, ProUnity’s Senior Account & Business Development Manager

ProUnity recently welcomed Frédérique Beumier as new Senior Account and business Development Manager. As industries undergo transformations, adapting to new challenges in sales is her second nature. Her new role at ProUnity fits in that picture, as she moves from HR and a fixed job platform to ProUnity’s broader modular and in-depth external talent service.

It’s great to discover the power of ProUnity in finding and managing external talent. The combination of its own extensive VMS platform with a vibrant marketplace and expert customer support is impressive.

Frédérique, tell us a bit more about your background…

I’m a commercial engineer with a specialization in marketing and communication. My career began at Golden Pages. Over 15 years I navigated the digital evolution, moving from sales for traditional advertising to digital products like websites, online ads, and eventually Google Ads and apps. When the Golden Pages company went into decline, I made the transition to sales and management in recruitment services.

I launched Indeed in Belgium and Luxembourg and learned that talent acquisition requires a more human-centric approach. This makes sales and management more time-consuming, but also more rewarding. It’s a people business, with a sensitive and personal part in developing contacts and collaborations. This insight is at the heart of the approach at ProUnity, making my move to this team feel 100% right.

I’m excited to develop my contacts in Belgium and Luxembourg with acquisition managers and contingent workforce experts to share ProUnity’s valuable talent solution!

How was your experience working in the Luxembourg market?

The Grand Duchy, with its mix of French, German and Belgian influences, demands a personal approach. The specific market dynamics in Luxembourg require extensive networking. You need to be there, create connections and build trust.

My sales contacts over the last years with major international clients managing EMEA accounts from Luxembourg exposed me to diverse work cultures. I’m looking forward to further develop this international aspect of my career at ProUnity, introducing contingent workforce services to organizations with cross-border needs.

What contributed most to your growth in international sales?

The key catalyst was the proactive style required in a rapidly expanding organization. Dealing with international teams, gathering information across different countries, and adapting to a company that grew rapidly on a global scale was both challenging and enlightening. On a personal level, I learned to master the demanding nature of my role and maintain my work-life balance.

We underestimate the value of meeting people in real life. It’s a vital part of creating a balanced stimulating work environment and protecting your personal well-being and growth.

So, during the pandemic, I opted for a coworking space to break the monotony of homework. It confirmed how much I value personal contact and helped me to manage the lack of face-to-face interactions during that challenging time.

What brought you to ProUnity?

Meeting with David Muyldermans, ProUnity’s founder and CEO, played a crucial role in my joining the company. The agile and professional approach to sales, transparency, dynamism, and seriousness he portrayed about ProUnity made it stand out compared to other companies. Also, ProUnity’s proposed service mix was truly rich and refreshing: its offer is unique, combining a vendor platform with a freelancer and supplier marketplace, plus expert customer support.

How have your first months been at ProUnity?

Right away, I felt welcome here. ProUnity’s platform struck me as very user-friendly, and although there’s a learning curve, the logical structure is clear, and the completeness of the platform and support is impressive.

At ProUnity, I find a good balance between sales and individual action and working together ‘in real life’ in a team context.

The quality of sales work, as seen through the extensive client offers, exceeded my expectations for a company that’s not even a decade old. The positive atmosphere within the team further solidified my belief in the company’s potential, so I feel I’m in the right place at the right time.

How do you see your role evolving at ProUnity?

My focus will shift towards acquiring major new clients, in Belgium and Luxembourg, contributing to ProUnity’s international vision.
In the next months, I aim to thoroughly understand the services and the market. I’m already hungry to establish sales and client contacts. My goal is to assist in growing the company’s revenue and business, fuelled by the increasing demand in the market. The team and the platform are ready to make great strides forward, and it’s exciting to be part of that movement as part of a positive and human-centred team.

Will external talent management evolve towards innovative solutions like ProUnity?

The shift towards embracing programmatic solutions is real, but there’s still a challenging journey ahead of us.

There’s still a long way to go in naturally adopting more progressive approaches. The past few years, catalysed by the pandemic, we saw a beginning awakening in the sector. There’s a gradual openness to innovative solutions, especially among acquisition managers, but you also see more traditional HR and management who still have cold feet to break with their old-school attitude.

Imagine you’re in an elevator with a senior HR executive. What would be your quick pitch?

ProUnity is the missing link in meeting your recruitment needs. You can move forward fast in finding suitable external consultants for your business. ProUnity has the right tools, team, and track record to really find and manage the right talent for both individual missions and projects. The support team can fluently plug into your organization, as broker or full management partner in recruiting and handling external talent. But instead of hearing this, it’s better to see it. Let’s meet and show you!
