Function Description
The candidate will join the ‘Road Transport’ department of the Federal Public Service Mobility and Transport, which focuses on the regulation and management of vehicles on Belgian roads. Responsibilities include overseeing vehicle registration and managing exceptions for various categories such as national defense vehicles, trade plate vehicles, and vehicles in import/export processes.
The department’s objective is to develop and implement efficient digital solutions supporting these complex and critical processes. The Analyst role is integral to the ICT staff department at FOD Mobility and Transport. This position requires blending technical IT skills with business insights, concentrating on optimizing operations and enhancing user satisfaction within the government sector, particularly in federal road processes.
The Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing business processes and IT system requirements within the ‘Road Transport’ department. They will contribute to the department’s digital transformation efforts by collaborating closely with Agile development teams and participating in modern application development.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document business processes and IT system requirements.

Mission Timing and Characteristics:
This mission includes 140 days and starts on February 15, 2024. The work will primarily be carried out remotely (approximately 40% in physical presence), but in specific situations (e.g., certain meetings), presence in Brussels may be required. Performance will be scheduled through mutual consultation.
Profile:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.).
- Over 20 years in IT, with mandatory experience in the government context.
- Knowledge of federal road processes is a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated experience working with Agile development teams.
- Involvement in the creation and development of modern applications.
- Collaborative Skills: Strong collaboration and communication skills, facilitating effective teamwork and interaction with diverse groups.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with creative solutions.
- Stress-resistant and able to deal with tight deadlines and high pressure.

- Ability to support a tactical resource plan by mapping future demand to predict project completion in the project portfolio and very good communication in English. A sufficient professional level in French/Dutch is required.

Description de la fonction
Le candidat rejoindra le département "Transport routier" du Service public fédéral Mobilité et Transport. Ce département se concentre sur la régulation et la gestion des véhicules sur les routes belges. Ses principales responsabilités incluent la supervision de l’immatriculation des véhicules, ainsi que la gestion des exceptions pour diverses catégories telles que les véhicules de défense nationale, les véhicules avec plaques de commerce et les véhicules dans le cadre de processus d’import/export.
L’objectif du département est de développer et de mettre en œuvre des solutions numériques efficaces soutenant ces processus complexes et critiques. Le rôle de l’analyste est essentiel au sein du département ICT de la FOD Mobilité et Transport. Cette position nécessite de combiner des compétences techniques en informatique avec des connaissances métier, en se concentrant sur l’optimisation des opérations et l’amélioration de la satisfaction des utilisateurs dans le secteur gouvernemental, en particulier dans les processus routiers fédéraux.
L’analyste jouera un rôle crucial dans l’analyse des "business process" et des exigences du système informatique au sein du département "Transport routier".
