IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Mission Description

We are seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and completion of various IT infrastructure projects. This role requires strong project leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure technologies and methodologies. The IT Infrastructure Project Manager will collaborate closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure project objectives are met within scope, budget, and timeline.

 

The main focus for this mission lies in the coordination of the IT related part of the office relocation project (desk allocation, inventory, IT procurement, meetingroom setup, network expansion … )

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning Support:
    • Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and resource requirements specific to the IT aspects of the office relocation.
    • Collaborate with the steerco to identify and document IT infrastructure requirements for the new office space.
    • Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of IT-related services and equipment.
  1. Stakeholder Communication:
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for IT-related inquiries and requests from stakeholders involved in the office relocation project.
    • Facilitate regular communication between IT teams, departmental representatives, and external vendors to address concerns and provide updates.
    • Assist in organizing and conducting meetings, workshops, and training sessions as needed.
  1. Resource Coordination:
    • Coordinate the allocation of IT resources and personnel to support various tasks related to the office relocation project.
    • Track resource availability and utilization, ensuring that project activities are adequately staffed and resourced.
    • Assist in managing schedules and timelines to ensure timely completion of IT-related deliverables.
  1. Logistics and Procurement:
    • Assist in coordinating the procurement and delivery of IT equipment, software licenses, and infrastructure components for the new office space.
    • Liaise with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, place orders, and schedule deliveries in accordance with project timelines.
    • Manage inventory and asset tracking processes to ensure accuracy and accountability for IT assets during the relocation.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to IT infrastructure requirements, equipment inventory, and project milestones.
    • Assist in preparing regular status reports, progress updates, and other project documentation for stakeholders and leadership.
    • Document lessons learned and best practices for future reference and continuous improvement.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in project coordination or related roles, preferably in IT infrastructure or office relocation projects.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Miro, Trello ..
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, including networking, telecommunications, and hardware/software systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • PMP certification or project management training is a plus.

Details

Location: Brussels/Remote (up to 3 days/week remote work).
Languages: Native proficiency in either Dutch or French, along with fluency in English.
Start date: Immediate.
