Sylvie Vanbossele: The fun vibe here is very refreshing

Six months ago, Sylvie started as Client Satisfaction Manager at ProUnity. Time to look back a moment with her and ask… So, Sylvie… how’s it going?

You’ve been with ProUnity for just six months. How is it going?

Fine! Things are progressing well at ProUnity. Things are moving fast and in a positive direction with new clients and great challenges. That generates positive energy; our offer as a matchmaker for freelancers, service companies and clients is innovative.

I worked in the interim sector for 17 years and HR is my thing. But ProUnity is very different from my previous work experience. It’s just ‘a different sort of animal’. So, it was a leap into the unknown for me, really. I want to know everything quickly and handle any situation myself, so it took me some time to adjust and settle in. Fortunately, the platform is intuitive, and I could call on my very fine colleagues any time. Everyone was willing to help me.

How were your first days at ProUnity?

Right away, we had a series of celebrations and fun events. There was a nice photoshoot, a barbecue, a reception, … and the announcement that we became part of HeadFirst Group, with a celebratory meeting in the Netherlands on top… You would almost forget I was hired to learn and work as well (laughs!).

The fun vibe with the colleagues is very refreshing

I’m a bit older than my teammates but that really doesn’t matter; I immediately felt included in the group. There are also interesting and experienced people joining. Saskia and Widad, for instance, each bring more added value to ProUnity. As new colleagues join, the positive welcoming atmosphere continues. We’re lucky: everyone is different, but things come together and work out spontaneously.

And your job… challenging?

Yes, it’s quite challenging. I received a clear introduction to the system. It has the advantage of being largely self-explanatory. I like to figure everything out myself first. But by not asking, I was putting pressure on myself. That turned out to be unnecessary. Because… well… what a joy to have such a kind and capable group of helpful colleagues here! The management is also very approachable. Even when it’s busy, they always make time for a chat. So, I was not alone, the opposite is true.

How does working for ProUnity differ from your job in the interim sector?

With temp workers, you must analyse contracts yourself and the follow-up of each mission is intensive. Here, the system solves lots of questions automatically, making the cooperation between client and service provider simple and fluent. Once a candidate starts, everything runs much more efficiently. For example, you don’t have to intervene if a consultant hasn’t closed the timesheets.

The platform is incredibly user-friendly.

The platform is incredibly user-friendly. Especially if you look at it separately from the perspective of the freelancer, the perspective of the service provider or client. Everyone has their part to play, and the flow is immediately smooth and clear. There are a lot of features and possibilities, yet it all remains simple because of the clear structure.

Still, your work remains challenging…

It does, because as consultants we need to know everything for each type of user. The platform also continues to evolve. That makes it even more exciting, because we make improvements along the way, adding new features and integrating user questions into the platform’s operation.

Everyone reacts fast, we keep a close eye on the ball.

Our own people remain in control of changes, we all respond quickly and that makes we can smoothly turn suggestions into new possibilities on the platform. That is an important strength of ProUnity.

You’re now in daily contact with customers. How does that work out?

There’s so much possible with the system that you get a range of very specific questions. Especially in the beginning, you can’t always answer. But we work together so closely, that we deliver a solid reply as a team. Colleagues with more experience using the system share their invaluable input. And customers used to work with the platform also share their insights. I’m actually happy when they ask difficult questions. That helps me to learn a lot… I have even thanked them for that!

What is your impression of the platform?

The key thing is that every user can follow up projects and find everything in one place. That’s great! I find that special and so do our customers. Consultants, for example, fill in their own timesheets within the system. The client has full and clear information available, about suppliers, freelancers, assignments.

We have a solution that works really well. When you see it, you are sold.

In the segments we operate in, our platform for freelancers with expertise offers great opportunities, with fair competition and correct prices. If you’re looking for external talent quickly and in a clever way and want to manage it smoothly, ProUnity is a solution you don’t want to miss. The ease of use of our platform and large marketplace of candidates is totally worth it. We simply make the client’s team stronger, with time savings, and less worries.

The car question: which brand would you compare ProUnity to?

I feel ProUnity is like Lynk & Co.

I immediately thought of Lynk & Co. They call themselves simple, flexible, and divisible. That fits perfectly! Everything is simple and options are included. And you decide how far you go as a customer, in a light or in-depth collaboration. No fuss. Innovative, fresh and in 1-2-3 you’re on the road, on your journey.

Finally, a question for Sylvie as deejay. Which song fits ProUnity?

It’s a classic by now, but still a smash hit: ‘Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger’ by Daft Punk!
