Thomas Scheerlinck made the leap to ProUnity last September. In his previous job, he missed the dynamism and opportunities for learning and personal growth he was looking for. How was your first contact with ProUnity?
 
I responded to a ProUnity job posting, and within 20 minutes, David Muyldermans, the CEO, personally gave me a call. In that initial chat, I immediately noticed ProUnity’s swift and targeted approach, coupled with spontaneous and enthusiastic interactions. I felt an instant ‘click.’ This feeling was further confirmed in a broader conversation with David, and during the meeting with Sales Director Tania Vivane.

ProUnity aligns with my ambition to learn extensively and closely collaborate with clients to accomplish exciting results.

My professional background is in IT, focusing more on data management. But I find this aligns well with ProUnity. The team is on an impressive trajectory, winning several awards during its growth, becoming part of the international group Headfirst, and expanding further in Belgium and internationally.

What attracted you to ProUnity?

At ProUnity, things can move very quickly, just like I saw in my recruitment process, with room to make decisions while being guided by the right people. How do you evaluate the platform’s functionality?

I grew up with technology and am accustomed to working with new tools. However, I notice the platform’s user-friendliness. It’s cleverly and scalable built, providing immediate access to the tools and buttons needed. Complex processes are simplified. Screens are tailored for different roles, making it even easier to understand all steps in the process and effortlessly access the required information.

That is a powerful position to add value for all stakeholders.

New users quickly overcome their hesitations, whether in government services or private companies. You rapidly become familiar with platform screens and processes. That is especially important for project and hiring managers placing their assignments for external talent and managing service providers.

Even freelancers and service providers find the platform easy and intuitive. I’ve verified this with freelancers and suppliers in my network using the platform. They confirm easily finding the right jobs and quickly connecting with the right clients. They appreciate that ProUnity provides access to jobs at organizations that would otherwise be difficult to apply to, even with the right competencies and experience. The communication flows smoothly, whether you are chosen for a task or not. If another candidate is preferred, the feedback is equally constructive and clear.

How do you experience your role in sales?

The platform and services are well-structured, a necessity given the complex and evolving questions and needs of customers. Therefore, I participate in strategic meetings with clients to discuss our next steps collaboratively. This could include expanding their requests, more intensive MSP guidance, or projects towards Total Talent Management.

These are fascinating meetings where users propose new functionalities and potential platform evolutions. With this interesting input, our Product & Development team gets to work enriching the platform further and outlining our technical roadmap.

Customers become enthusiastic when they regain control over their processes and budgets.

Additionally, I play a role in developing contacts with potential new customers. ProUnity has become an established name but remains a ‘disruptor.’ We are approached to brainstorm with companies lacking existing or inadequate solutions. The conversation then guides the way to make attracting and managing external talent more accessible and efficient together.
